Mr. and Mrs. Donnie R. Slay of Clayton announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Slay, to Johnny Morrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Morrison of Clayton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bunyan Carter of Eufaula and of Mrs. Willie Mae and the late Mr. Howard Slay of Chipley, Fla.
Jessica attended Eufaula High School. She is employed in retail sales.
The prospective bride-groom is the grandson of the late Mr. Charlie Burns, the late Mrs. Mary Gibson and Mr. Grady Gibson of Eufaula, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. James L. Morrison of Clayton.
He is a graduate of Daleville High School and is employed with Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Brundidge.
The wedding will be Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Peacock House on Cottonwood Highway in Dothan.
