Miss Frederick, Mr. Hartzog will wed

Mr. and Mrs. Beebe Ray Frederick, Jr. of Montgomery are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Golson Frederick to Owen Kent Hartzog, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Earl Hartzog of Montgomery.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris Bennett of Louisville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Beebe Ray Frederick Sr. of Fort Deposit.
Miss Frederick graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She served as an officer in Delta Delta Delta sorority, president of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, member of Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board and Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.
The groom elect is the grandson of Mrs. Lois Brady Cole and the late Mr. Douglas Cole of Selma and of Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Hartzog and the late Mr. Owen Gale Hartzog of Selma.
Mr. Hartzog graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
He was a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. He received his master’s degree in civil environmental engineering from Auburn University in 2008. He is currently employed as an environmental engineer for Malcolm Pirnie in Birmingham.
The wedding is planned for July 12 at 6 p.m. at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church in Montgomery.
