$170K in equipment stolen

The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the Thursday morning theft of approximately $170,000 worth of equipment from a business on U.S. Hwy. 82.

Teen charged in Subway robbery

A teenager charged with the armed robbery of a Subway restaurant in Clayton turned himself into authorities during the holiday weekend. Barbour County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy Friday after he turned himself in to investigators.

Police apprehended an escapee from the Eufaula City Jail Friday - the same day he escaped.
