Arrests in drug sweep rise to 65

The Eufaula Police Department confiscated 14 pounds of marijuana, $11,000 in cash and various weapons and other narcotics during a four-month undercover operation that culminated Monday with the arrest of 56 out of 68 individuals indicted on felony drug charges. That number has risen from 56 to 65 as of Thursday afternoon.

The Eufaula Police Department arrested 56 individuals for drug charges in a drug round-up that occurred on Monday.
A special grand jury made 81 felony indictments on 68 different defendants on various drug charges.
Following the indictments, the Eufaula Police Department arrested 56 of the 68 indicted offenders.
As of Thursday afternoon, 65 of those defendents had been arrested by the Eufaula Police Department.
The EPD has not released any names, yet. The Tribune will publish those names as soon as they are released.
