Commission prayer service on tap Tuesday

The Georgetown-Quitman County Commission is planning a special prayer service Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
The meeting will be held in the commission board room. According to a press release from the commissioners’ office, the meeting will be held “to pray for the good fortunes and blessings of Georgetown-Quitman County, Georgia.”
The public is invited to attend. All religious denominations are invited to participate.
Those wishing to participate should contact County Clerk Carolyn Wilson by Monday at 3 p.m.
“Public prayer may be limited according to the number of the public wishing to present public prayer,” the release states.
