Fireworks set for Fort Gaines

The Ft. Gaines Firecracker Festival will be held July 4, at the Corps of Engineers Office.
The event, sponsored by the Ft. Gaines Lions Club, will include a chicken barbecue at 11 a.m. (EDT), a car show from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (EDT) and a fireworks display at sundown.

Osteoporosis class on tap
Vivian Erkins will lead the SARCOA SenioRx wellness class on osteoporosis Tuesday, June 24, at the Chattahoochee Courts Community Center beginning at 1 p.m. Registration begins at 12:45 p.m.
The SenioRx/Wellness program, also provides free prescription medicine to senior citizens 55 years of age or older and disabled individuals of any age in the 24 month Medicare waiting period. Some restrictions apply. Call 334-678-0440 for more information or to sign up for SenioRx/Wellness.
This program is a partnership between The Southern Alabama Regional Council on Aging, the Alabama Department of Senior Services and the Alabama Department of Public Health.
Water aerobics classes planned
George T. Bagby State Park and Lodge will hold water aerobics classes June 23 - Aug. 27, Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (EDT)
Admission is $10 per person for 10 weeks of classes. Classes will be taught by Terena Kenyion. For more information, call (229) 768-2571.
