A tornado watch is in effect until 3 p.m. for the Eufaula area, including Barbour, Quitman and Henry counties.
Showers and thunderstorms, including some severe storms, are predicted today as the area is still affected by what was Tropical Storm Fay.
Fay dumped at least 3 inches on Eufaula, according to news reports from WRBL-Channel 3 Saturday evening. There were also multiple reports of power outages and fallen trees throughout the area.
According to Linda Brannon of Alabama Power, approximately 11,000 customers in the Southeast Division lost power because of Fay. Some of those individuals were still without power as of Sunday morning.
There was also at least one report of a tree that crashed through the roof of a Lakeside Drive home, though there were no reported injuries.
