God and Country event set for July 4

Eufaula’s fifth annual Gospel Sing and Fireworks Celebration is scheduled for July 4, at 6 p.m. at Lakepoint State Park and Resort near the tennis courts. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
The event will feature a variety of local talent, says program coordinator Cindy Hagler.
“We have an outstanding lineup this year,” said Hagler. Performers will include the James Brown Trio, Legacy and Sisters Anointed as well as many more singers and musicians. Adam Traylor will serve as the master of ceremonies.
Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and insect repellent. Hagler says that the event’s attendance grows with each year.
“Every year, the crowd grows bigger and bigger,” she said. “I begin to get calls enquiring about this event in March.
“As Americans we are truly blessed and we wish to celebrate the wonderful freedom we have by bringing the community together for this great event,” she added.
“Bring your friends and relax to a high-energy evening of great entertainment. There will be music that will appeal to every age.”
