Quitman Dental Care in Georgetown is open for business again.

Dr. Stan Rentz, DMD, recently relocated to the Eufaula area and has taken over the practice at the facility in Georgetown.

The clinic has been re-opened since Aug. 1.

They offer all general and family dentistry services to area residents.

The clinic accepts Georgia and Alabama Medicaid as well as all private insurance plans. For those without insurance, Rentz assures that his capable office manager Diane Rachel can help patients with payment planning.

Hailing from Valdosta, Ga., Rentz graduated from the University of Georgia Medical College in May.

“My dad was a pharmacist, and I grew up working in the pharmacy,” said Rentz. “I always knew I wanted to go into the medical field, and dentistry lets me choose my schedule, allows me more of a family life.”

Family life is especially important for Rentz right now. He and his wife of three years, Megan, should welcome their first child, a boy, into the world any day now.

Rentz and his family lives in Eufaula and attend First Baptist Church. Coming to a small community was a lot easier than moving to a large city. It’s been a lot easier to get settled and meet people,” he said.

The position at Quitman Dental Care seemed a perfect fit for the young dentist with a desire to serve and a lot of clinical experience.

“I’ve always wanted to come to a rural area where people were underserved,” he said. “Working here, I have the opportunity to offer dental care to people who normally can’t afford it.”

Rentz also hopes to start different programs to benefit the community such as school screenings.

Providing access to dental care is what makes the job so rewarding for Rentz, but he knows the job has its challenges.

“One main challenge is educating people on dental care,” he said. “It’s always better to prevent than to treat when it comes to dentistry.”

Quitman Dental Care offers competitive fees, a nice and nearly brand-new facility and professional lab results from some of the most top notch labs.

“We’re here to help,” said Rentz.
