Local arrested for exposure
A 45-year-old Eufaula resident was arrested Monday after police received several complaints that the man was exposing himself in public on Dale Road.
Three witnesses reported that the offender pulled down his pants, exposing himself in the middle of the road in front of St. John AME Church, where they were holding children’s revival.
According to the police report, there were children in the parking lot and outside the church at the time.
One witness stated that she had her two children in the vehicle when the offender exposed himself and then began performing lewd acts in the street.The offender was arrested and transported to the Eufaula City Jail awaiting bond.
Drugs
Gary Dale Hicks, Jr., 34, of 728 White Oak Drive in Eufaula was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kenneth Ray Walker, 43, and Ivett O’Connor, 49, both of Apt. A-11 Chattahoochee Courts in Eufaula, were arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of marijuana second degree after a search of the apartment produced a clear plastic bag and a plastic Tupperware container containing green vegetable matter believed to be marijuana ($110). Police received information that the offenders were in possession of illegal narcotics, according to a police report.
Property thefts
Mann’s Bait Company reported a burglary last weekend after someone apparently entered the office building and searched through multiple offices, damaging a door frame ($50) in the process. It is believed the offender was looking for money.
A North Eufaula Avenue resident reported theft of a patio table with two chairs ($150) and two wash pots ($200) Friday night. The items were located by police and a suspect has been named in the case.
Twenty 2x4 pressure treated wooden boards ($70) were reported stolen from an Alfred Saliba site at Reflections on the Water last weekend.
A Eufaula City Jail inmate was charged with theft of property and promoting prison contraband on Monday after he was caught on tape stealing two packs of Newport cigarettes from a drawer in the booking room while receiving his personal items.
A South Randolph Avenue resident reported theft of a Mt. Fury bike tire ($50) occurring on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.
Whitehead Brothers Inc. reported theft of a white utility trailer ($12,000) that was reportedly dropped off at the company on Dec. 8, but could not be located.
Herndon Citgo reported a gas drive-off in the amount of $66 on Tuesday.
A South Forsyth Avenue resident reported theft of a 19-inch Panasonic television ($100) a lawnmower ($200) and assorted jewelry ($50) occurring on Tuesday.
A Highland Avenue resident reported breaking and entering to a vehicle and theft of a pioneer radio ($400) occurring on Tuesday night.
A handcart ($1,500) was stolen Sunday night from a Jackson Street residence.
Star Food Mart reported a gas drive off for $68 Wednesday.
Miscellaneous
A Cotton Hill Road resident reported damage to a solar-powered automatic gate ($1,500) after someone apparently tried to dismantle it Sunday night.
A Forsyth Avenue resident reported criminal possession of forged instrument occurring between June 9 and June 19 after someone cashed his U.S. government stimulus check ($600).
A Eufaula resident reported identity theft after learning that four bad checks ($206) were used to purchase items from a Wal-Mart in Gadsden and her driver’s license number was used on the checks.
A Eufaula resident reported criminal mischief and paint damage to her vehicle ($250) Wednesday while parked outside of a Kent Drive residence.
A man reported criminal mischief Wednesday after witnessing five juvenile girls throwing rocks at his vehicle, breaking the back passenger window ($400) and passenger side mirror ($200).
Traffic report
The Eufaula Police Department reported 52 traffic arrests between Monday and Thursday mornings, including 15 for no seat belts, 12 for no proof of insurance, 11 for speeding, 3 for driving while suspended, 2 each for no driver’s license and improper equipment, and 1 each for reckless driving, driving while revoked, driving with an expired license, improper lane usage, violation of license restrictions, loud music, and failure to obey a traffic control device.
