Littering reported
A Eufaula resident reported criminal littering occurring Wednesday at the Epworth Cemetery on Clayton Highway.
According to the report, the complainant stated that residents of nearby rental units were dumping garbage on the right of way in front of the cemetery.
The complainant stated this is a regular occurrence and that he sent a certified letter to the owner of the property the last time it happened. He also spoke to the maintenance manager of the property, but nobody has done anything to clean up the trash.
According to the city sanitation department, regular fees for leaf and limb pick-up services do not include furniture, appliances, metal or building materials. Those types of items are only picked up if a customer requests it and is willing to pay an additional fee.
