Council OKs $12.7 million budget

The Eufaula City Council approved a $12.7 million budget this week at a special-called meeting.

Medical Center Barbour will host a luncheon in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 12 p.m. at the Eufaula Country Club entitled “New Weapons in the War Against Breast Cancer.”

Water rates will increase 12 percent

The Eufaula Water Works and Sewer Board voted unanimously Tuesday to increase water rates by 12 percent.

An Inlet Road resident reported criminal mischief after waking up on Saturday to find that someone had rolled a tree in front of the victim’s house with toilet paper on Friday night and damaged an Alabama football flag stand and bracket ($10) that was supporting the flag attached to the tree.
