AUM plated seven runs and sent 13 batters to the plate in the second inning of its showdown with Montgomery American en route to a 13-1 win Monday night in the Jr. Dixie Boys South Regional at Eufaula’s Old Creek Town Park.

AUM pounded out 11 hits and scored in all but one inning en route to a 10-1 win against Troy Monday morning at the Jr. Dixie Boys South Divisional Tournament at Old Creek Town Park. With the win, AUM improved to 3-0 and knocked Troy into the loser’s bracket of the double-elimination tournament.

Lawson Stewart belted a bases-loaded triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to plate three runs and help propel Troy to a 9-5 win against Prattville in the first round of the Jr. Dixie Boys Divisional Tournament at Eufaula’s Old Creek Town Park.

Will Gibson made quite a splash in his season-opening meet with the Eufaula WaveRunners June 27. The 10-year-old claimed first place in all nine events he entered at the Southeastern Water World Classic in Dothan, an event that featured 15 teams from Alabama, the panhandle of Florida, Tennessee and Mississippi.

A 6-4 loss to Troy in the semifinals of the sub-district tournament in Brantley ended the Eufaula Instructional League All-Stars’ season Wednesday night.

The Eufaula Ponytails looked to be well on their way to a rematch with Troy in the championship round of the Sub-District 2 tournament in Ozark.

Wicksburg squeezes by Eufaula

A 7-6, extra-inning loss to Wicksburg at the sub-district tournament in Dothan ended the Eufaula Dixie Minor National’s season.

The Eufaula Dixie Darlings did it the hard way, but they did it. A 24-13 loss to Brantley Saturday at the Dixie Darlings Sub-District B tournament sent Eufaula into the losers’ bracket. In order to win the tournament and advance to the District VI tournament in Greenville, Eufaula needed to win three straight games, including two against Brantley in the championship round. It did – with a little help.
