The Braves scored two runs in the first inning and one more in the third to edge the Rockies 3-0 Thursday night in Dixie Angels League action.

Laura Turchiano earned the win on the mound for the Braves and was also 1-for-2 at the plate to help pace the offense.

Abby Thomas was 1-for-1 and Bryanna Harris was 1-for-2 in the win.

Emma Tyler and Chanya Farmer each had a hit for the Rockies in the loss.

Marlins 8, Dodgers 6
The Marlins scored seven runs in the first inning en route to an 8-6 win against the Dodgers Thursday night in Dixie Angels League play.

Ponytails/Belles

Rockies 5, Braves 1
The Rockies plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning and three in the bottom of the second inning to overcome a 1-0 deficit and score a 5-1 win Thursday night in Dixie Ponytails/Belles League action.
