Rockies score late, top Dodgers

The Rockies plated three runs in the bottom of the third inning and three more in the bottom of the fourth inning to rally from a 5-2 deficit and top the Dodgers 8-5 May 1 in Dixie Angels League action.

Sydney Dowling earned the win on the mound, while Emma Tyler and Savannah Head were each 1-for-2 at the plate for the Rockies.

Shelley Beaty was 1-for-2 to pace the Dodgers.

Braves 3, Marlins 1
The Braves pushed two runs across in the bottom of the fourth and final inning to rally for a 3-1 win against the Marlins May 1 in Dixie Angels League play.

Laura Turchiano got the win on the mound, while Lara Derrow, Bryanna Harris and Abby Thomas led the Braves at the plate with one hit each.

Savannah Coker and Amy Casker each had a hit for the Marlins in the loss.

Rockies 8, Dodgers 6
The Rockies plated two runs in the bottom of the third and final inning to snap a 6-6 tie with the Dodgers and claim an 8-6 victory in Dixie Angels League action April 22.

Dodgers 7, Marlins 6
The Marlins pushed six runs across the plate in t he top of the third and final inning, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win as the Dodgers managed to plate a single run in the bottom half of the inning to take the 7-6 victory in Dixie Angels League action April 24.

Jazzlyn Purswell, Kyra Cox and Summer Orr each had one hit in the win.

Purswell also earned the win on the mound.

Savannah Coker led the Marlins with a 2-for-2 effort, while Carly Whitehead and June Baggett were each 1-for-1.
